Welcome to the website of the Regional Commandery of Crete (Greece) of the Orthodox Order of St. Anna
The Regional Commandery of Crete is the local branch of the Orthodox Order of Saint Anna on the Island of Crete. The Regional Commandery is headquartered in Northwestern Crete but covers all of the Island of Crete, and is led in service by His Excellency Vladimir M. Lavenko, Knight Grand Commander of Crete, New Mexico, and the Deputy Grand Commander of all of Greece.
The Orthodox Order of Saint Anna is a Chivalric Order of faithful Eastern Orthodox Christians who are committed to serving God, the Church and the needs of our Communities both near and far. Using our ancient principles of Orthodox spirituality, we lead a joyous, abundant and peaceful life in service to the Church and our local Communities. We are active in our parishes, as well as in various charitable activities. Our Regional Commandery has taken a special interest in serving the needs of Orphans, both regionally as well as in Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Belarus, Romania, Russia) and in Mexico.
